Services for Doris (Sis) Kay, 81, of Temple will be 10:00 am on Saturday December 5, 2015 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Temple. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, TX.
Doris Kay passed away on November 23rd peacefully at her home.
Doris was born on October 11, 1934 to Leo and Lorene Williams in Hereford, Texas. Doris worked in a factory in Tucson, AZ making oxygen tubes for the Astronauts at NASA. She then moved to Ohio and worked in a Fiberglass Factory and later moved back to Durango, Colorado and to get her GED. She had only finished the 10th grade. Doris had several other jobs including waitress, worked in a man's clothing store, and a night shift auditor in Odessa, TX. She found and married her soul mate "Gramps", Frank Kay, and traveled around the world, including an Alaskan Cruise. She moved to Temple and had many friends and a great Church family at St. Paul United Methodist Church for twelve years. Doris was very talented and made pot holders and bags.
Preceded in death are parents; brother, Junior, and son, Ben.
Doris will be remembered by her children; Dee Jaye, Leon (Gina), Monte (Vicki); two brothers, Bob (Ester), and Jack (Becky); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation service will be from 8 - 10 am on December 5th at the Church.
