Donald Bower

Memorial services for Donald Bower, 76, of Temple, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple, Texas with Pastor Judy Gotcher officiating.

Mr. Bower died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at a local hospital.

Donald was born September 18, 1937, in Elkhart, Indiana to Lorrain Bower and Betty Fulton Bower. He lived in the Temple area for forty years and was married to Donna OConnell Bower. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the Air Force during the Cold War. He retired from Gray Army Airfield at Fort Hood as an Air Traffic Controller. Donald was an active bowler in Temple and Killeen and traveled across the United States to participate in many league tournaments.

Mr. Bower was preceded in death by his father, Lorrain Bower mother Betty Bower stepfather Leonard Wolf daughters, Dawn Simmons and Doreen Bower and half brother, Tom Wolf.

Donald is survived by his wife, Donna daughters, Debbie Dye and husband Micheal of Pflugerville, Diane Sevey and husband Randy of Eddy, and Demetra Bower of Austin sister, Sally Ellsworth and husband Bob from Elkhart, Indiana ten grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
