Dolores Tobar

Dolores Lola Tobar, 89 of Temple, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Ramiro Tarazona officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Dolores Tobar was born September 6, 1921 to Manuel and Ester Falcon Castaneda in Runge, Texas. On August 31, 1937 she was married to Ernest Tobar. She worked as a homemaker. Mrs. Tobar was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 8, 2004, and daughters, Wanda Landeros and Dora Tobar.

Survivors include her children San Juana Tobar, Marcus Portillo, Martina Jimenez, Ernest Tobar, Jr., Carl Tobar, Joe Tobar, Juanita Segovia, Lupe Martinez, Jesse Tobar, Sr., Raymond Sanchez, Dolores Cortes, Jesse Tobar, Jr., Jerome Tobar, and Andrea Sedillo, sisters Amelia Tovar, and Maria Tobar, 59 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Building Fund, 707 S 6th St., Temple, TX 76504.

Visitation will be 5:008:00pm, Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
