Divina Castro

Divina Castro, 62 of Temple, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 in a local hospital. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday at Full Gospel Holiness Church in Temple with Brother David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.

Divina Castro was born December 3, 1946 to Jesus and Alifonsa Munoz Ortiz in Thrall, Texas. On October 14, 1968, she was married to Porfirio Castro, Sr. in Round Rock, Texas. She worked as a homemaker. Mrs. Castro was a member of Full Gospel Holiness Church in Temple.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

Survivors include her husband of Temple, son, Porfirio Castro, Jr. of Temple, daughters; Rosalie Castro of Temple, Rose Mary Castro of Temple, and Jesusa Susie Salazar and husband Steve of Temple, brothers; Isais Ortiz of Taylor, Innocencio Ortiz of Temple, and Moses Ortiz of Grand Prairie, sisters; Suzana Conde of Temple, and Elida Camargo of Red Oak, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Saturday and Sunday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of the arrangements.
