Dianne Wheeler Staub, 84, of Temple, Texas, passed peacefully on September 2, 2026.

Dianne was born on October 11, 1941, in Cambridge, Maryland, to Thomas Wheeler and Charlotte Hurley Wheeler. She later made her home in Temple, where she built a life centered around her family and the simple things she enjoyed most. Dianne attended community college and worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Staub; her parents, Thomas and Charlotte Wheeler; and her brother, Thomas Henry Wheeler.

She is survived by her son, David Lee; daughter, Angela Lynn Lo; brother, Robert “Bob” Wheeler; sister, Becky Dayton; and other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Dianne especially enjoyed gardening, birds, and spending time outdoors. She loved sitting outside and birdwatching, no matter the weather. These quiet moments brought her happiness and reflected her appreciation for nature and the world around her.

Dianne will be remembered with love by her family and all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

A graveside service will take place on October 27th, 2026 at 11:00AM at Central Texas State Veterans' Cemetery.
