Funeral services for Senior Master Sergeant David Ferrell Sims, 41, will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Bill Robinson
officiating. Interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 p.m.

David Ferrell Sims was born January 14, 1977 in Aurora, Illinois to Richard and Debbie Sims. He joined the United States Air Force in July 1998. David proudly served his country
as an active duty member of the United Air Force, currently stationed at Maxwell-Gunter AFB, Alabama. David was also an active member of Perry Hill Road Church of Christ in
Montgomery, Alabama. David made a commitment to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He remained an active, evangelistic member of his church until time of
his death. Throughout his life he served in many capacities as an evangelist, Bible class teacher, song leader and "wherever the elders said ‘go'. He enjoyed connecting with his
sons with their favorite video games and encouraged both his sons and daughters to pursue their passion in life, cultivating wholesome interests and a love of God.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Sims of Montgomery, Alabama; his sons, Dustin Hunter Sims and Roman Ferrell Sims both of Montgomery, Alabama; daughters, Brittany LeeAnne
Laman of Temple, Texas and BreeAnna Nicole Laman of Juneau, Alaska; his parents, Richard and Debbie Sims of Mineola, TX; brothers, Ricky Sims of Newsome, Texas and
Daniel Sims of Jessup, Maryland; and maternal grandmother Joyce Ferrell of Waco, Texas.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
