David Simek

Services for David Leslie Simek, 57, of Temple, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple, Texas.

Mr. Simek died Thursday, September 25, at his home in Temple.

David was born October 12, 1956, in Temple to William Simek and Helen Heller Simek. He lived in Temple all of his life and attended Temple High School. He was employed by Temple College as the Maintenance Supervisor. David loved hunting and fishing, along with NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Susan Peters Simek son Christopher Waugh and wife Carolyn of Troy daughter Brandi Simek and Pierre Labelle of Temple his mother, Helen Simek of Belton sister Sherry Starling and husband A.C. of Belton grandchildren Rachel Mikeska, Destiny Mikeska, Colton Waugh, and Caden Waugh and greatgrandson Levi Mikeska.

The family requests that donations in Davids name be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be from 5 8 p.m. on Monday, September 29, at the funeral home.
