Temple Police Department Officer David Camden, 39, of Killeen passed away Friday, September 14, 2007 in Temple. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church in Temple. Pastor Tommy Davis of the First Church of the Nazarene of Belton will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Final honors will be bestowed upon Officer Camden at the Killeen Memorial Park.
Officer Camden was born February 9, 1968 in Frankfurt, Germany to John and Ursela Tack Camden. He was an officer for the Temple Police Department for over 11 years.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Camden of Killeen and Coleton Camden of Belton; parents, John and Ursula Camden of Killeen; two brothers, Tommy Camden of Killeen and John Camden and wife, Pia of Killeen; one sister, Mary Ann Kless and husband, John of Buffalo, New York.
Officer Camden was a Member of The Blue Knights, Fraternal Order of Police and Escort for Final Destination.
Pallbearers will be officers: Chad Tarvestad, David Hess, Joseph Cotton, Donald Griffin Jeremy Gooch and Constable Tom Prado
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trust Account 12120376 for Christopher and Coleton Camden at Extraco Banks.
Arrangements are being handled by Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
