David Burks

David B. Burks, age 68 of Temple, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. Services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

David was born on January 7, 1953 to Harrell and Margie Burks in Bellview, Texas. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple. Above all, David loved God, his family and his country. He will be missed by so many that knew and loved him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Harrell and Margie Burks; and sisters, Patricia Burks, Sue Burks, and Maribeth Burks.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brother, Jay Burks; sister, Rose Thorns; two nephews, Jeremy Romero and Gilbert Burks; two nieces, Crystal Leon and Margaret Nash; great nephew, Kevin Anderson; two great nieces, Jasmine Anderson and Janai Anderson; and great-great niece, Julianna Johnson.
