David Bailey

A memorial service celebrating the life of David Bailey, 60, of Temple will be held at Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Visitation will be held at the Church at 9:00 a.m. on July 13.

Mr. Bailey passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at a local hospital.

He was born on December 7, 1952, to Joe Malone and Roberta Alma Swanzy Bailey in Dallas. He graduated from RosebudLott High School in 1970, and married Debra Williams on April 29, 1989 in Temple. He was a member of the Western Hills Church of Christ for the past five years.

David was Past Parliamentarian of the Temple High School Kitten Booster Club, a caregiver for special needs adults, and was with Kings Daughters ambulance service for four years. He worked in sales and then the management of a renttoown business and was with Frito Lay for many years, retiring as a Sales Representative.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Roberta Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Debra, by his son, Colton, his twin daughters, Paige and Kalin, all of Temple one sister, Patricia Lightfoot of Rosebud and two brothers, Joe Bob Bailey of Tyler, and Dan Bailey of Canton.
