Mr. Darrell Lynn Gallaway, Sr. passed from this life Friday, December 22, 2023, in Temple, Texas. He was born on August 3, 1953, to Joe Wade and Mary Elizabeth Gallaway in Texas City, Texas.

He is preceded by his parents; brothers, Alton Gallaway, Bobby Gallaway, Denny Gallaway, and Leldon Gallaway; and sister, Beverly Mauldin.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gallaway; son, Darrell Gallaway, Jr.; daughter, Tesha Saxon and husband, Timmy of Troy; brothers, Clifford Gallaway and wife, Cindy of Bacliff, and Roger Gallaway and wife, Debra of Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Justin Saxon and wife, Julie of Troy; Christian Gallaway of Temple, Jordan Padgett and husband, Michael of Moffatt, and Jennifer Saxon of Troy; one very special great granddaughter, Kylie Rae Padgett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A small family memorial will be held at a later date.
