Darlene Turner Lewis

Darlene Turner Lewis, age 67 of Temple, passed from this life Saturday, April 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, April 25, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories.

Darlene was born on October 5, 1957, to Theron and Effie (Brown) Turner in Waynesville, Missouri. She was a faithful Jehovah's Witness.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Theron and Effie (Brown) Turner; her beloved husband, John Lewis; and brothers, William Turner, and Bobby Turner.

Survivors include her daughter, Tissy Machuca and husband, John Paul; brother, Carl Turner; sisters, Irene Hall, Beti Mentola, Charlotte Brown, and Dorothy Turner; and 4 grandchildren, Christian, Aja, Jeremiah, and Peyton.

The family would like to thank the MICU Team at Baylor Scott & White for their care during this difficult time.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the funeral home.
