Daniel Santibanez

July 21, 1944 — February 17, 2013

Daniel Santibanez, 68, of Temple, passed away February 17, 2013 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church Temple at 10:30 am with Rev. Ranjan Cletus and Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.
Daniel was born on July 21, 1944 to Pedro and Lucy Carrillo Santibanez in Temple, Texas. He married the love of his life, Lydia Herrera, on February 3 1967 in Temple. He worked at Pactiv for 35 years as a supervisor. He was on the board of CAC and also a current member of the board for St. Vincent De Paul. He was a past member of Cultura and a past member of United Way. He graduated from Temple High School, Class of 1962, and he attended Temple College and Mary Hardin Baylor.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lydia Sanibanez of Temple, daughter Natalae Santibanez of Houston, son Danny Santibanez of Phoenix, AZ, 1 sister Evelyn Barbosa of Troy, 1 grandchild Zachary, and a host of dear friends. A visitation will be from 67 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Temple with an evening service with a rosary starting at 7.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Mary Catholic School Fund.
