David Dale Glasscock, Sr., 77, of Temple, TX, died November 4, 2016. Dale Glasscock, son of Truby Elwood Glasscock and Pauline Parker Glasscock, passed away at Marlandwood Senior Care after bravely battling cancer.
Dale was born in Troy, TX and played football for Temple High School. He then went on to play football for Texas Christian University. His love of football and the Horned Frogs continued throughout his life.
He spent his early career in Fort Worth, TX in the life insurance business. Later in life he was a farmer in Temple, TX and then an exotic game ranch manager in D'Hanis, TX. Dale had great love for nature, animals, and people. His love of life, strong spirit, and generous heart will be missed by many.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Walker Glasscock and son David Dale Glasscock, Jr., both of Salado, TX.
He is survived by his daughter Shelley Wood of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, his daughter Janet Shirley of West Covina, CA, and his granddaughter Madeley Walker Glasscock of Weatherby Lake, MO.
A celebration of his life service will be held on December 2, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Omni Fort Worth, 1300 Houston Street, Fort Worth, TX 76103.
