Curtis Paul Williford, 57 of Bastrop passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at a hospice facility in Austin.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bastrop and a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at Harvest Point Church in Nacogdoches with Brother Gary Roberts and Rev. Richard Shahan officiating.
Curtis was born December 27, 1954 in Center, TX to the late Chester P. and Angie Lorraine Davis Williford. He is also preceded in death by his brother Eddie L. Williford.
He had worked for Centerpoint Energy as a Senior Marketing Consultant for many years. He was on the Restaurant Association Board of Directors, he was a Master Plumber and loved playing golf, and enjoyed baseball and softball. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bastrop.
Curtis married the love of his life, Sue Kirkland on October 13, 1973 in Joaquin, TX.The most important things in Curtiss life was first being a Christian and his family.
He is survived by his wife Sue Kirkland Williford of Bastrop, sons and daughtersinlaw Wade and Tamara Williford of Atascocita, TX and Aaron and Shelly Williford of Austin, three grandchildren: Kaley, Kyle and Hannah, also surviving are his motherinlaw Lavern Kirkland of Joaquin, sister and brotherinlaw Sue and Calvin Evans of Nacogdoches, brothers: Don and Bet Kirkland of Ovilla, TX, Rex and Lynn Kirkland of Irving, TX and Perry and Jeanette Kirkland of Ovilla, TX, sister Janet and Tom Permenter of Joaquin, TX. and other extended family Elaine Yarborough, Connie Fletcher, Kathy Lee, Debbie Sims, Patricia Bush, Danny Windham and Donna Penney and many friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Yenney, Bob Westbrook, Roger Lumley, Keith Drewery, Mike Center and Terry Woodard.
HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
