Crystal Gail Shelton was born September 18, 1978 in Temple, Texas to William Earl Shelton and Linda Morris Shelton. She was a graduate of Belton High School and lived in the Temple/Belton area all her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple. Crystal had a special love for so many things. She enjoyed dancing and listening to country music, going shopping and especially loved jewelry and watches, which she affectionately called her "bling-bling". Crystal liked to pass the time coloring and always needed a new box of markers every week. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, loved to watch scary movies, and greatly enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Crystal often could find comfort in her teddy bears and was deeply cared for by the staff and her friends at Central Counties Services. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a shining light of encouragement and joy by all who had the opportunity to meet her.
Crystal was preceded in death by her father, William Earl Shelton.
Crystal is survived by her mother, Linda VanWinkle of North Carolina; three sisters, Eva Burt of North Carolina, Loretta Jackson, of Salado, and Joyce Jones of El Paso; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.
