Corene Huffman

Corene Huffman, age 94, of Temple passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at home. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Bellwood Cemetery in Temple.

Corene was born on January 5, 1927, to Elmo and Stella Magill in Davilla, Texas. She married John Harden Huffman and graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Corene was a 4th grade teacher for Academy I.S.D. and a member of the Texas State Teachers Association. She was also a member of Western Hills Church of Christ.

Corene is survived by her sons, Joe E. Huffman of Temple, John Richard Huffman of Rockport, and Stephen Scott Huffman of Temple; grandchildren, Christopher T. Huffman of Temple, Samuel C. Huffman of Belton, Michael J. Huffman of Belton, John William Huffman of Rockport, and Jessica Huffman of Rockport.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
