Cordelia Donahue

Mrs. Cordelia Donahue, 89, of Temple, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Moffat Cemetery with H.K. Ballard officiating.

Mrs. Donahue was born to Albert Benjamin and Fannie Lela Phillips Berry in Hico, Texas on December 13, 1918. She was a 1938 graduate of Troy High School. She married James Donahue in Houston on May 10, 1948. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Monnig's Department Store in Fort Worth for 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sisters, Annie Lillian Walker of Troy, Doris Purvis of San Antonio and Charlene Humbert of Temple; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Maria Kathleen Argo in 1947 and her husband, James Donahue on August 5, 1986.

Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
