Claudia Fuentes

Claudia Ocon Fuentes, 90 of Temple, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 in a local hospital. Funeral mass will be 10:00am Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Bremond.

Claudia Ocon Fuentes was born June 5, 1919 to Tiburcio and Luisa Gonzales Ocon in Rhome, Texas. In 1944, she was married to Jose Joe Fuentes, Sr. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bremond. She worked as a homemaker. Mrs. Fuentes was a Catholic.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons; Joe Fuentes, Jr. and Tino Fuentes, Sr., daughter, Guadalupe Fuentes, granddaughter, Susan Marie Fuentes, brothers; Margarito Ocon, Marcus Ocon, Santos Ocon, and Armando Ocon, and sisters, Refugia Ocon, Santos Ocon, Delfina Ocon Torres, and Feliciana Ocon Martinez.

Survivors include: sons; Lus Fuentes, Sr., and Antonio Fuentes both of Temple, daughters; Socorro Retana of Temple, Lupe Ruiz of Temple, and Juanita DeJesus of San Antonio, stepsons; Louis Fuentez and Felix Fuentez, stepdaughters; Ann Ramos, and Alberta Fuentez, brothers; Louis Ocon, Tiburcio Ocon, Margarito Ocon, Jessie Ocon, Sr., all of Bryan, and Matias Ocon of Mission, sisters; Cipriana Rueda, Irene Ocon, and Maria Triana, all of Bryan, grandsons; Tino Fuentes, Jr., Jesse Retana Jr., Randy Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Lus Fuentes, Jr., Hector DeJesus, Felix DeJesus, Joe Fuentes III, George Fuentes, and Jacob Fuentes, granddaughters; Connie Sisneros, Rosemary Berumen, Gloria Retana, Claudia Fuentes, Jeanne Estrada, Monica DeJesus, Lisa Fuentes, and Cynthia Rojas, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
