Clarence Batson

December 15, 1943 — February 29, 2012

Ray was born December 15, 1943 in Crane, Texas to R.R. Dick and Minnie Mae Branam Batson. He died February 29, 2012 after a long struggle with colon cancer. He served 50 years as Minister of Music Youth in various churches across Texas including Framers Branch, Howe, Corsicana, Malakoff, Mabank, Memphis and Academy. Many youth came to know the Lord under his ministry. He was loved and respected by many.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.R. Batson, a brother Robert Batson, and a son Marcus Batson.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Temple, his mother Minnie Mae Batson of Burnet, daughter Karen Turnbo of Grants, New Mexico, son James Batson of Temple, his sister Connie Osborne of Burnet, brother Don Batson of Grand Prairie grandchildren Brittney Batson, Jarred Batson, Elizabeth Turnbo, Lydia Turnbo, and James Roy Turnbo.

Visitation was on Friday, March 2, 2012 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home

HarperTalasek Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
