Mrs. Clara Berry Kitching, 97, of Heidenheimer, died Friday, February 1, 2008 in a Temple hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2008 at Pendleton Cemetery with Minister Darrell Knight officiating.

Mrs. Kitching was born to Daniel Allen McGregor and Neta Bouldin McGregor in Pendleton on December 6, 1910. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Scott White Memorial Hospital in Temple for 43 years. She was married to A.C. Berry, former police chief of Temple. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Montie J. Kitching of Heidenheimer; one sister, Winnie Chandler McMillian of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the charity of choice.
