Clara Darden

MRS. CLARA JANE BASSEL DARDEN, age 76 of Temple died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with Chaplain Eric Hammer officiating. Interment will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

Mrs. Darden was born January 12, 1931 to the late Paul M. and Elizabeth Ximinia Potts Bassel in Temple, Texas. She was married to Roy L. Darden of Temple for over 56 years and he survives her. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Belton.

Mrs. Darden is survived by: husband, Roy L. Darden of Temple, sons, Roy B. Darden and wife Nancy of Rosebud and Paul A. Darden and wife Rene of Belton, daughter, Betsy Wright and husband Tom of Winter Haven, FL. Also ten grandchildren, Joshua B. Darden and wife Emilie, Abraham Darden, Hannah Darden, Luke Darden, Carl Darden, Heather Wellman, Joshua Wellman, Amanda Wellman, Brittany and Destiny Davis, two

Great grandchildren, Christian and Shelby Darden.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
