Claiborne Wiggins

June 2, 1936 — February 13, 2018

Services for Claiborne "Tommy" Wiggins, 81, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, at St. James United Methodist Church in Temple with Pastor Quinton J. Gibson, Sr.
officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m.

Mr. Wiggins passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at a local care facility.

Tommy Wiggins, Jr. was born June 2, 1936 in Petersburg, Virginia to Claiborne McKenny Wiggins, Sr. and Mary Sue Walker Wiggins. He was the oldest of nine children. After
graduating high school, Tommy joined the U.S. Army, where he served in the Infantry and attained the rank of Private Second Class. He worked as a Machine Operator for Mobile Oil
and Chemical until his retirement, and as a Security Guard in various businesses in Temple after his retirement. Tommy was a member of the DAV and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Wiggins was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret Reed Wiggins; his twin brother, Robert Wiggins; and three sisters, Ruby Wiggins, Mary Sue Wiggins, and
Shirley Wiggins.

He is survived by a son, Ricky Wiggins and wife, Rochelle; two daughters, Karen Evans and husband Stanley and Carolyn Jones and husband Joe; three brothers Shakey Wiggins,
Leonard Wiggins, and Charles Wiggins; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, at the funeral home.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
