Charley Harris

Charley Henery Harris, 81 of Temple, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral service will be 10:30am Friday, May 28, 2010 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Elwyn Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Charley Harris was born August 3, 1928 to Frank and Lillie Thomison Harris in Hennessey, Oklahoma. On May 15, 1948, he married Leona Virginia Wariner in Enid, Oklahoma. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years. Mr. Harris was a Baptist.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Leona Virginia Harris of Temple, daughters Gaylene McMillan and husband Lloyd of Hewitt, Lillian Bartek and husband Garland of Zabcikville, and Debbie Dye and husband Gary of Moody, sister, Ella Mae Coen of Chester, Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 68:00pm Thursday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
