Services for Charles A. Klepac, 79, of Temple will be 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, October 22, 2015 with Father Steve Sauser officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Memorial Cemetery.
Charles passed away on Monday, October 19th at a local hospital. Charles was born November 7, 1935 to Henry Klement Klepac and Mary Theresa Neuman Klepac in Cornhill, Texas. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Cornhill and Jarrell High School. At a Granger picnic, he met the love of his life; Matylda Pekar and they were married June 8, 1957. They shared 58 years in a loving marriage and were blessed with five children. They faithfully served and raised their children at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Charles was a member and past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #3444 and Assembly #1138. He served as an officer with Catholic Life Insurance Branch #31 for many years. He was very talented and could fix anything. He played the guitar, piano, and the accordion. Charles played in several bands including Eddie and the Rhythm Masters, Emil Malish and the Polka Masters, and Charlie and the Swing Masters. He worked for 7-Up Bottling Company, Griggs Equipment, Continental in Belton, and retired from Wilsonart after 32 years of service.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, John, Anton, Alfred, Louis Edward, and Joe Klepac.
Survivors include his wife Matylda; two sons, James and Kathleen Klepac, Steve and Nancy Klepac; three daughters; Marilyn and Russell Krumnow, Melinda and Rick Reed, Melissa and Darren Foshee; Grandchildren, Katherine and Blake Waller, Jeremy and Amanda Krumnow, Michael and Sheri Klepac with child, Justin Klepac, Kyle Wilganowski and Brianna Ayers, Brittany Klepac, Charles and Suzy Klepac, Matthew and Rebecca Reed, Megan and Javier Medrano, Anna and Ben Diskin, Hannah and Garret Whipkey, Jakob Russell and Miranda Hill; Great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Mason, Madelyn, Gage, Addie, Rawlins, Ben, Anna, Conner, Jeffrey, Sophia, and Elena; sister, Mary Turner of Taylor; brother, Rudolph and Wanda Klepac of Conroe; and sister-in-law, Anne Klepac of Waller.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21st at St. Mary's Catholic Church with rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
