Charles Gross

Charles John Gross, 58, of Rogers, Texas died Sunday, May 4, 2008 in a Temple hospital.

Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gross was born to Charles August and Marion Schmidt Gross in Queens, New York on November 16, 1949. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been a resident of Bell County since 1974. He married JuDee Aubrey in Belton on August 21, 1987. He was presently employed with Pactiv in Temple. Mr. Gross was a life member of VFW Post 4008 in Belton and American Legion Post 133 in Temple.

Survivors include his wife, JuDee Gross of Rogers; 1 son, Charles W. Gross of Rogers; 1 daughter, Brandie Michelle Ellis of Temple; 1 stepson, Randy Kirby of Morgan's Point; 1 stepdaughter, Lisa Kirby of Rogers; 2 brothers, Fred Gross of Belton and Bob Gross of Staten Island, New York; 3 sisters, Joan Wilson of Florida, Virginia Schaefer of Belton and Carole Rund of New Jersey; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Edward Gross and Gerald Gross.
