Mr. Charles Milford Goode, 88, of Temple, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 in a Temple hospital.
Graveside services, with military and Masonic honors, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at North Belton Cem-etery in Belton with Rev. Andy Schmidt officiating.
Mr. Goode was born to Clarence and Lois Taylor Goode in Decatur, Texas on October 20, 1920. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with Company A, 821st Engineer Battalion. Following the war, he worked with the Army Corps of Engineers in the construction of the Belton Dam. He married Katherine Cornelison in Belton on December 1, 1946. He formerly worked at the Belton Water Treatment Plant, and re-tired after 14 years of employment with Duplex Products. He was a member of First Christian Church in Temple and Knob Creek Masonic Lodge 401, AFAM.
Survivors include one son, Keith D. Goode of Weatherford; one daughter, Beverly Crenshaw of Temple; one sister, Joyce Petit of Garland; two grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on February 16, 2002.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
