Charles Gilmore

Charles Eugene Gene Gilmore, 76, of Temple passed away Friday at a local hospital. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. brMr. Gilmore was born February 10, 1933 to Chester Monroe and Flora Blanche Ivy Gilmore in Bullard. He served his country in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from the United States Postal Service and worked as a security guard in Corsicana before moving to Temple 21 years ago.brMr. Gilmore is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons, Kevin Gilmore and wife, Debbie of Temple and Martin Gilmore and wife, Tina of High Pointe, NC; grandchildren, Rob Gilmore, Steven Gilmore, Cameron Gilmore, Hayley Gilmore and Hannah Gilmore.brServices will be 10:00 a.m., Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Reverend Sam Callaway officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p.m., at Resthaven Memorial Park in Corsicana with Reverend Larry Talbert officiating.br
