Charles Chalmers

Charles Jack Chalmers, 91, of Morgans Point, passed away December 26, 2012. Services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10 am at the chapel with Rev. Ken Steger officiating. A visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 68 pm. Burial will be at Hillcrest.
Charles was born on April 15, 1921 to Charles Chalmers, Sr. and Lillian Leatherwood Chalmers in Killeen. He married Birdie Ligon in Temple in 1946. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and fought in WWII. He graduated from Temple High School, where he played football. He belonged to a Masonic Lodge in Temple.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Birdie Chalmers, of Morgans Point sister, Emma Lou Hubbell of Morgans Point, and several nieces and nephews. Harper Talasek Funeral Home Temple is in charge of services.
