Charles Arnspiger

Charles Harvey Arnspiger, Jr. 87 of Temple, passed away Monday, July 21, 2009 in a local hospital. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Hubert Austin and Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Private interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Charles Arnspiger was born was born February 23, 1922 to Charles H. and Annie Bell Arnspiger in Van Alstyne. He served in the the United States Armed Forces. On February 5, 1949, he married Martha Ruth Gauntt in Houston, Texas. Mr. Arnspiger retired from Santa Fe Railroad where he worked in the Traffic Department, and later worked as a Travelling Freight Agent. He was a 50 year Mason. He was also a member of the Golden Age Club of Belton and the Traffic Club of Houston. Charles Arnspiger was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Temple.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, in January 2008.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oak Park United Methodist Church in Temple, First United Methodist Church in Temple, or charity of choice.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00pm until time of service.
