Services for Charlene Snow Quinn, 63, of Temple are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Rick Reed officiating. Reception will follow at the Harper-Talasek Family Center.
Mrs. Quinn went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, at her home in Temple after a five year battle with lung cancer.
Charlene Quinn was born November 8, 1952 in Belton to N.S. Snow and Laura Lee Howard Snow. She married her "love-at-first-sight", Anthony Quinn, at age 15 and started her family in 1971. Charlene was a housewife and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, singing, and, most of all, watching her family grow. She loved cooking for her family and decorating her home for the holidays. She had an interest and love for Native American culture and expressed it throughout her home. As Charlene battled with lung cancer, Anthony became her fulltime nurse for the past five years. With hope, love, and treatment she was blessed with a longer life. Charlene was a simple woman with a beautiful soul and she will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Randy and Jessie Snow.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony; daughter, Michelle Bowden and husband, George; sons Michael Quinn, and Ronnie Quinn and wife Bettye; sisters Nancy Carlton and husband Tony, and Brenda Wooley; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nieces and seven nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Funeral Home.
In memory of Charlene, donations may be made in Charlene's name to the Vasicek Cancer Center at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple Texas 76508.
