Charity Mcdaniel

Mrs. Charity McDaniel, 90, of Temple, died Friday, February 27, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Don Boesel officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery in Rogers.

Mrs. McDaniel was born to Asbury and Eugenia Fincher Davis in Rogers on September 8, 1918. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County. She married Leonard Lyle McDaniel on May 26, 1940. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a sales clerk for several drug stores in Temple, including Janeway's, Harris, Northside, and VM Drug. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Temple, Temple Women's Christian Organization, and Temple AARP.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Bressler of Liberty Center, Ohio and Margaret Robertson of Nolanville; four grand-children; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Leonard E. McDaniel; four brothers, Leroy, Jack, Horace and Morris Davis; and four sisters, Lillie Earl Smith, Florence Gandy-Mooring, Grace Chrisner and Loraine Tharp.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
