Cecile Welborn

Funeral Services for Cecile Royce Welborn, 80, of Temple, will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. He will be laid to rest at South Park Memorial Park Cemetery in Pearland on Thursday. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Mr. Welborn passed from this life on January 20, 2019. Cecile Royce Welborn was born September 14, 1938, to Lee Roy and Lissie Clara Welborn in Mitchell, Louisiana. He married the love of his life Alice Pekar on March 6, 1965.

Cecile worked for Flow Serve for 35 years before his retirement. He belonged to the Bell County Sportsman Club and loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed doing yardwork and playing bingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Welborn; and three brothers, Raymon, Billie, and Bobbie.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are, his wife, Alice Welborn; son, Gary Welborn; one granddaughter, Madisyn; also left to cherish his memories are many nieces, nephews, as well as many other beloved friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity of your choosing.
