Carol Langsjoen

Carol Marti Langsjoen completed her life's journey on Saturday, January 23rd at the age of 93. She was born on May 18, 1922 to Alfred Marti and Hertha Grebe in New Ulm, Minnesota. Carol attended Gustavus Aldophus College in St. Peter, Minnesota where she met and fell in love with Per Harald Langsjoen. They were married on March 13, 1945. Wedded bliss produced three sons, Hans, Peter, and Sten and two lovely daughters, Heidi and Kristen. Soon to follow were fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Carol and Per moved to Temple in 1960 when Per joined the cardiology department at Scott and White Hospital. Carol was an active member at First Lutheran Church as well as many local service clubs and charities.
To Carol life was one big celebration. She brought endless laughter and love into the lives of all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Carol will be laid to rest by his side near the family farm in Dalton, Minnesota. Although we will miss her, our memories will sustain us as we take comfort from I Corinthians 2:9 "…no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him."
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Carol's name to First Lutheran Church 1515 West Adams Avenue Temple, TX 76504.
Visitation will be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home on Wednesday January 27th from 10 am - 12 pm.
