Byrd Hudson

Mr. Byrd Franklin Hudson, 74, of Temple, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Mr. Hudson was born to John Franklin Hudson and Myrtle Wright Hudson in Harriet, Texas on January 5, 1934. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Josephine Selucky in Georgetown on October 5, 1965. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Wilson Art in Temple. He had been a resident of Temple for the past 37 years.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Hudson of Temple; two sons, Franklin Hudson, Jr. of Temple and Kenneth Hudson of Belton; three sisters, Phyllis Hudson and Renee Mungia, both of Temple, and Connie Strawn of Chandler; two sisters, Minnie Larkin of Rising Star and Polly Laverne Anderson of California; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
