Services for Bruce Dwain Grimland, 51, of Temple, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, at The Rock Church in Cranfills Gap, Texas with Reverend Joan Iker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Olaf's Lutheran Cemetery.
Bruce died Sunday, July 12th, at a local hospital.
Bruce was born in Corpus Christi on January 25, 1964 to Floyd and Eddie Bohanon Grimland. He became a proud father in 1989. He was a carpenter and roofer by trade but was a cowboy at heart, training and riding his horses. He was always seen in his wranglers and western apparel. He was a very social and caring person. He enjoyed cooking and playing dominos. He was also considered an outdoorsman who loved the 70's country music. He was a Lutheran by faith and a card-carrying member of the Choctaw Tribe.
Bruce is survived by his parents, Floyd and Eddie Grimland; a daughter, Brittany Grimland; two sisters, Tracy Moore and Linda Hesseltine and husband Albert; and one grandson, Landon Ewing.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, July, 18 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
