Bobby Peiser, Jr.

Bobby A. Peiser, Jr., 80, of Temple, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Private graveside services will be held at Taylor City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Capt. Peiser was born to awalt and Clara Hulsey Peiser on December 16, 1928 in Taylor. He married Iris Lorean Griggs on March 11, 1950 in Taylor. He was a longtime Temple resident, and retired from the Temple Fire Department as a Captain, following 34 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Temple.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Peiser of Temple and Mike Peiser of Norfolk, Virginia; one daughter, Sandi Oakley of Temple; one sister, Dorothy Ridgon of Taylor; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 19, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, Maryland 21727.
