Beulah went home to meet her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, May 11, 2019. She will be celebrated in a service at Harper-Talasek of Temple at 3:00 p. m. on Saturday, May 18, with visitation at 2:00 p.m.
Beulah was born in 1923 on October 26 at Enid, Oklahoma to Willis W. Webb and Nellie Dotson Webb. They lived in Oklahoma on their land grant which was staked at the opening of the Cherokee Strip.
Beulah Jean married the love of her life, Clement Eugene Hitchcock, on December 1, 1940 in Enid where they then resided. After the birth of three daughters, they moved to Temple, Texas in 1948 where they had a son and another daughter.
Beulah was an excellent mother, homemaker, seamstress and cook, and helped Gene, the children, and others to plant two churches: Calvary Baptist and Temple Bible Church.
Left to cherish her memory are five children: Vivian Stoner (Rev. Charles), Linda Kyle (Dr. Kenneth), Della Swaim (Johnny), Dr. Maurice Hitchcock (Dr. Maggy), and Connie Culbertson (Rev. Fred). Also, eleven grandchildren: Rev. Russell Swaim (Rebecca), Douglas Swaim (Mariah), Erin Kyle Bertran (Doug), Matthew Stoner (Melissa), Marcy Nelson (Rev. Richard) Ryan Kyle (Morgan), Mark Stoner (Joy), Logan Elise Hitchcock, Michael Lauren Hitchcock, Jacquelyn Culbertson, and Addison Grace Hitchcock.
Also left to cherish her memory are 19 great-grandchildren: Ethan Waldrip, Samantha Bertran, Luke Stoner, Hudson Swaim, Everett Swaim, Jonah Stoner, Ruth Nelson, Cody Stoner, Liam Swaim, Maleah Swaim, Mia Stoner, Ruby Nelson, Declan Kyle, Finn Stoner, Olivia Swaim, Eleanor Swaim, Georgia Swaim, Alexandra Bertran, and Braden Kyle.
Beulah was a member of First Baptist Church, Temple. She was preceded to Heaven by her husband of 60 years, her parents, two brothers and a grandchild.
Interment for Beulah will be beside Gene in Hillcrest Cemetery.
