Betty Marrs

Services for Betty Jo Marrs, 83, of Temple, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with Pastor Terry Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.

Ms. Marrs died Tuesday, September 9, at a local hospital.

She was born March 13, 1931 in Salem, Texas to Robert Glaser and Cleo Sypert Glaser. She lived in the Temple area all of her life and worked for the Water Department of the City of Waco for many years.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cleo, a brother, Robert Glaser, Jr., and by her first husband, Willie Ray Boecker.

She is survived by sons, Charles Wayne Boecker and wife, Linda, and James David Boecker and wife, Shiva daughter Nancy Boecker Hudson brother, Franklin Glaser and wife, Evelyn sisters Nelda Marek and husband, Edwin Joyce Hoff and husband, Willie Ray sisterinlaw Georgie Ann Glaser grand children, Charlie Hudson and wife, Ashley, and Cody Hudson and fiance Nicole Bilski and greatgrandson Ryder Hudson.

Visitation will be 6 8 p.m. Friday, September 12, at the funeral home.
