Betty Machuca

Services for Betty Evelyn Machuca, 63, of Temple will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Machuca passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 20, 1950, in Temple to Raymond and LaFaun Schleede. She married John Pete Machuca, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was an LVN and worked at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Scott White Memorial Hospital in Temple, and Temple Veterans Hospital. She was a life time resident of Temple and a member of Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by siblings Ronald Schleede, Linda Blodgett, and Laura Huff. Betty is also survived by her sons, Daniel Machuca of Houston and JohnPaul Machuca of Temple a daughter, Monica Graham of Temple and eight grandchildren, Ashli, Caitlin, James, Christian, Jonathan, Aja, Jeremiah and Peyton.

She was a loving mom, Nina and friend. Her legacy will live on in everyone who knew her. You will be greatly missed mama, but we got this
