Bernice Pfeiffer

Bernice Marie Kosel Pfeiffer, 88 of Temple passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday afternoon, April 7, 2010. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at St. Marys Catholic Church at 10:00am on Monday, April 12, 2010. Visitation and rosary will be held from 35pm at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple on Sunday, April 11, 2010. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

bernice was born January 22, 1922 to Edmund and Hilda Geistman Kosel of the MeeksCyclone Community. She married Ernest Pfeiffer on September 7, 1941. She was a LVN at Kings Daughters Hospital and Clinic for 26 years, names employee of the year in 1977, and retired in 1987. After retirement, she performed volunteer work for St. marys Church and Sunrise Oaks Nursing center. She was a member of Tanglefoot Demonstration Club and Seaton SPJST Lodge 47.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Walter Kosel and Ernest Pfeiffer, her husband of 53 years. She is survived by a son, Glenn Pfeiffer and wife Linda, brother Monroe W. Kosel and wife Joy, and numerous neices, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Gary Kosel, Brian Kosel, Earl Goldman, Clyde Gottschalk, Ray Kosel, and Alvin Marek.

The family is greatful to the staff at Temple Living Center West and ScottWhite Hospice for their compassion and care.

Memorials may be made to St. marys Catholic Church in Temple, or to the donors favorite charity.
