Benita Quinones

Benita Quinones, 69, of Temple, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026.She was born on February 12, 1956, in Durango, Durango, Mexico, to Evangelina Hernandez. Benita later married Humberto Quinones, and together they shared 51 years of marriage.Benita worked for Artco-Bell from 1985 until 2020. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and cherished time spent traveling to and from Mexico to visit family and friends. She enjoyed watching Astros baseball, playing lottery scratch-off tickets, and taking family trips to Disney World. Above all, she loved socializing with her boys and sharing breakfast with her honey, Humberto. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evangelina Hernandez, and her brother, Lorenzo Hernandez. She is survived by her husband, Humberto Quinones; her brothers, Jose Manuel Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez, Armando Hernandez, and Jesus Manuel Hernandez; her sisters, Maria Esther Johnson, Irma Herrera Hernandez, Teresa Herrera, Carmela Herrera, and Guadalupe Herrera; her sons, Luis Angel and Sherry Quinones, Arturo Quinones, Steve and Dina Quinones, and Humberto Quinones; her grandchildren, Christian Rae Quinones, Jacob Quinones, Arturo Quinones Jr., Isabel Quinones, Andres Quinones, Robert Portillo, Madison Gallegos, and Damian Gallegos; and her great-grandchild, Amais Armani Quinones. Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, at the Harper Talasek Funeral Home Temple Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
