Bartholomew Pekar

Bart Pekar, 81, of Temple died Friday, May 17, 2013, at his home. Funeral Services are set for Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denise Mikeska officiating.

Bart was born on January 4, 1932 at Granger, Texas to the late Charlie and Frances Pekar. He married Elvera Brinkmeyer on December 26, 1953.

He was a cabinet maker and enjoyed fishing and time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elvera of Temple a daughter and soninlaw, Pamaela and Dillard Barr seven sisters and their husbands, Alice and Cecil Welborn, Frances Polasek, Matylda and Charlie Kelpac, Helen and Edwin Malcik, Shirley and Antone Hutka, Georgia and Gary Dubak, Susie and John Strakos two grandchildren, Kandis and Cody Barr.

The family will recieve friends from 6 8 pm Monday and from 9 10 am Tuesday prior to the service.
