Barbara Carter

Barbara Kay Carter, 70 of Temple, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in a Temple hospital. There are no services scheduled.

Barbara Carter was born April 9, 1939 to Ralph and Evelon Miller Rains in Arkansas City, Kansas. On August 31, 1978 she was married to Henry Lee Carter, Sr. in Ulysses, Kansas. Mrs. Carter was a Master Artist. She worked as a quality control inspector for C H Diecast, as well as for McLane Company in Temple. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Temple Senior Bowling League. She attended Temple Bible Church, and Covenant Lutheran Church in Temple.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Marvin Rains.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Lee Carter, Sr. of Temple, sons Bobby Jones of Temple, and Billy Jones of Helena, Montana, daughters Margaret Tobin of Temple, and Jeannie Jaye Le Francois of Virginia, 2 stepsons, 4 stepdaughters, sister, Delores Dee Drake of Ulysses, Kansas, 24 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
