Arthur Kopfer

Memorial services for Arthur Wayne Kopfer, 81, of Temple and formerly of Port Aransas, will be held in Port Aransas in January 2017.

Mr. Kopfer passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at a local hospital.

Arthur Wayne Kopfer was born October 23, 1935 to Verne Kopfer and Bessie Adams in Coffey, Missouri. He graduated from Joshua High School and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Mr. Kopfer retired from the Santa Fe Railroad as an engineer.

Mr. Kopfer was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine Sears.

Survivors include his son, Bryan Kopfer; daughters, Pamela Kopfer Nance and husband Brian, and Paula Kopfer Mozek and husband Bill; a sister, Helen Patterson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wayne's honor may be made to a memorial fund for his grandchildren's education. Donations may be made in care of Pamela Nance at any Wells Fargo Bank.
