Anthony Morales

September 12, 1960 — June 14, 2009

alignjustifyAnthony Rusty Morales went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 14, 2009. After many months in the hospital he lost his battle with pneumonia and gained the victory to cross over to his heavenly home. Rusty was in a motorcycle accident in 1978 which left him with a traumatic brain injury and quadraparesis.

alignjustifyEveryone was a friend in Christ. He lived to give testimony to all he saw about the love of Christ. Though all his challenges Rusty never complained, but always encouraged others. Rusty never looked at his physical challenges as a weakness, but as his strength. He was a avid UT fan, loved sports and music. He would say his blood was orange He always wanted to share the gospel of Jesus and of course the Long Horns

alignjustify He was an active member of Goodwill Baptist Church, the Closed Head Injury Group at Scott White, the Baptist Student Ministry at Temple College, a member of Central Texas LULAC, and a founding member of the Bell County Judges Committee for Persons with Disabilities. He received the Person of the Year award in 1993 from the Bell County Judges Committee for Persons with Disabilities. He often visited Temple College, Scott White Hospital, Temple Library, and HOCTIL where he loved to visit with friends. He attended Temple Schools. With much determination he received his High School GED after his accident.
