Annette Hayes Snowden

Annette Hayes Snowden, a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Troy, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023. She was born on December 15, 1927, in Meridian, Mississippi to loving parents Jessie Jackson and Minnie Hayes.

A graveside service will be held on October 3rd, 2023, commencing at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery. This solemn ceremony will offer an opportunity for final goodbyes as we lay Annette to rest.

Throughout her life, Annette embraced her faith and had a deep passion for supporting Mission Work and spreading the Word of Jesus Christ. She was an active and longstanding member of the Women's Missionary Union where she served as an officer. Annette's commitment to her church and its mission work was a testament to her unwavering devotion.

In addition to her remarkable Christian service, Annette played a vital role in supporting her husband's business, Snowden Auction Service. Her dedication and assistance behind the scenes ensured the success of their endeavors.

But beyond all her accomplishments, Annette cherished her role as a devoted wife of 69 years to her beloved husband Merrill Snowden. Their love and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them. Together they built a loving family and created lifelong memories.

Annette is preceded in death by her loving husband Merrill Snowden; her parents; daughter Susan Dusek; granddaughter Allison Dusek.

She is survived by her son Chip Snowden and his wife Phyllis, and daughter Nancy Ellis and husband Bubba. Annette took great pride in being a mother and grandmother and poured boundless love into the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her impact will continue through the lives of her eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Family meant everything to Annette, as evidenced by the immense love she showed them every day. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

A visitation to honor Annette's remarkable life will take place on October 2nd, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. This will be a time for friends and family to come together, share stories, and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made in memory of Annette to First Baptist Church of Troy Lottie Moon Offering.
