Anne Hewitt

Anne Inez Hewitt, 87, of Temple, died Monday, March 9, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Father Ranjan Cletus officiating.

Ms. Hewitt was born to Rolla and Pauline Clara Custis Woodard in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 3, 1921. She had been a resident of Temple since 1973. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Western Union for 34 years. She also worked as a clerk with Santa Fe Railroad in Temple for 9 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Drechsler of Haleiwa, Hawaii; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the charity of one's choice.
