Anna Finn

Anna Lou Finn, 91, of Temple, passed away Friday, November 2 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, November 9 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Jay Thomas officiating.

A farmer's daughter, Anna was born on November 30, 1926 to Elmer and Almeda Moore Cofer in Bidwell, Ohio. A loving mother with a giant heart and gentle smile, Anna enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. She was quiet and reserved, and often her caring, servant's heart spoke louder than she did. She had a great sense of humor, loved life and lived it to the fullest. She took great pride in her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she never missed an opportunity to show each and every one of them just how much she loved them.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Almeda Cofer; first husband, Joseph T. Hairston; second husband, Robert Finn; daughter, Joanna M. Bates; and 10 siblings.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Eric Hairston; sister, Alma Banks; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 8 at the funeral home.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of the arrangements.
