Letting Go
aligncenterGod saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
aligncenterHe closed His arms around you and whispered, Come to Me.
aligncenterIn tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away.
aligncenterOur hearts were almost broken; you fought so hard to stay.
aligncenterBut when we saw you sleeping so peacefully from the pain,
aligncenterHow could we wish you back with us to suffer once again
aligncenterSo keep your arms around him, Lord, and give him special care.
aligncenterMake up for all he suffered, and all that seemed unfair.
aligncenterIt broke our hearts to lose you, but you didnt go alone.
aligncenterFor part of us went with you the day God took you home.
